Tiger men fall short to rival Wooster
The Wittenberg Tiger men's basketball team came out to a roaring start on the night of Saturday, Jan. 23, but lost momentum and fell short to rival Wooster by a score of 65-56. The Wittenberg Tigers have now lost four straight to the Scots. "It was a tough one to lose, especially after we got off to such a good start," said Chris Sullivan, starting junior guard for the Tigers.

Men's lax set for success in 2010

The Wittenberg men's lacrosse team looks to build off its success of last season. Last season's record of 7-6 was the best record for the men's lacrosse team since 1999, and it also continued a streak of seasons with at least a .500 winning percentage or better.

In an 83-80 victory over Ohio Wesleyan, Wittenberg senior Stephanie Boardman (Cincinnati, OH/McAuley) poured in 33 points on 15-of-25 shooting, for the second-best single-game point total in team history. Boardman now owns two of the school's top five individual game totals.

Young team, new coach, fresh start

Despite unfortunate dynamics last season, the Wittenberg women's lacrosse team succeeded in making its first tournament appearance in six years. Fueled by new head coach Nichole Johnson, the team hopes to go even further in this season. "Our main goal this season is to match last season's achievement and go even further into May," said Coach Johnson.
