Alright folks, I've just gotten word back from the online contest from American Eagle that Jon and I applied to last Fall. And we're going to be the next models for American Eagle.
The contest only required that we listed out our school, major, minor, extra-curricular activities, and a few photos. Well, luckily, I know a guy who knows a guy who dated a guy who has a nephew who knows this girl who does fantastic things with hair. So, naturally, Jon and I had to go visit her. Soon after our visit to Betsy Ross' American Pride Glamour Studio, we went and had our pictures taken by none other than Luciano Paparazzi. If his photos weren't going to win us an online contest, no one's were. We were sure-wins with our credentials alone, but the pics? There was no doubt.
So, we've been waiting with baited breath for the last five months in the hopes that we would win. When the envelope finally came, I was so nervous I called my mother. Jon, however, took a shot and opened the letter. He read it aloud: "Dear sirs, we are delighted to inform you that through our diligent search process, your fantastic quality, only slightly blurred pictures, and the fact that only one other person applied, (Polyphemus) we've decided that you two will represent American Eagle for the next three months. During that time, you will have two photo shoots and one commercial recording. Congratulations." So, the next time you're watching TV or walking through the mall, look for Jon and I. We'll be the two guys in the background or with our faces covered in scarves. Apparently they needed winter line models. Though, I believe that within the next few months, they may need us to fill in for the summer models. Fabrizio and Kierkegaard both were looking pretty sickly the last time I saw them. Of course, they were laying on tanning . beds; those things make anyone look pale. Just in case, the need should arise, Jon and I will be seen getting into our summer physiques hitting Station and McMurray's everyday until we achieve the perfect golden round look. Oh, I've just been told it's golden brown look. Hmm…this requires additional planning.
