Internships are the #2 item that employers look for when hiring a college graduate, according to the National Association of Colleges and Employers.
On a resumé, internships illustrate results. While interning you can demonstrate your skills and add value to your experiences. During an interview, then, you will have numerous stories to tell the employer. These stories help to explain your knowledge, talents, and reasons why you should be hired for the company.
If you are worried about not being paid for working, don't be! A lot of excellent PAID internships are available; you just have to be willing to search. However, it is not always about receiving that paycheck. Internships are extremely beneficial in gaining real world experience and learning what you do and do not enjoy. Interning is an easy approach to receiving job offers when that post-graduate search must begin.
