Women's tennis team serves into action

Picked to finish fifth in the NCAC, the women's tennis team looks to improve upon their record from last season and defeat some major conference opponents. The Tigers ended the 2006 season with a 11-11 record and 3-3 in the NCAC.
So far this season, the Tigers have somewhat improved but still has some work to be done. The Tigers have faced one conference and one non-conference opponent. In their first match of the season against Otterbein, the Tigers lost 1-8 and Amanda Williams was the only individual winner.
Against nationally ranked Kenyon, the Tigers were unsuccessful once again. The Tigers lost all nine matches against the Ladies of Kenyon. Their overall record moved to 0-2, and 0-1 in the NCAC.
The Tigers next opponents will be faced while on their annual spring break trip to Hilton Head. The Tigers will play Seton Hill, Muskingum,Winona State, Bethel and John Carroll. The Tigers look to improve their record and gain some key wins while enjoying the warm weather.
When they return home from Spring Break the Tigers will face conference foe Oberlin on Sunday March 18.
Amanda Williams is one of the top singles players for the Tigers.
